Waffle, Maggie and Mollie
Meet our amazing school dogs
Waffle, Maggie and Mollie
Our school dogs Waffle, Maggie and Mollie have been trained as Dog Mentors.
At St Saviour’s we recognise the human-animal bond and this is why we have Waffle, Maggie and Mollie in school each day. They provide our children with positive experiences that can help them educationally, developmentally, emotionally and socially. They also assist our staff with their well-being.
We decided to train our dogs to ensure they provide positive therapeutic interventions in our school. If you visit St Saviour’s, you will see our dogs interacting with the children – whether this is greeting them as they arrive each day, walking with them on the playground, joining them in their classes during lessons, listening to them read or helping them to stay regulated.
We strongly believe in the positive and life-changing impact of our dogs on the members of our school community.
We celebrated Waffle’s 6th birthday recently with some doggie birthday cake
