Year 6 visit to St Werbugh’s in Chester to venerate the relics of St Bernadette
Year 6 have joined the thousands of visitors across the UK that wanted to venerate the relics of St Bernadette during their tour around the UK. The children were very blessed to be part of this very special occasion, and behaved in a respectful and prayerful manner. They were able to write their own prayers to Our Lady which will then be sent to Lourdes, and they were invited to drink some Holy Water brought especially from Lourdes.
Upon their return to our school, the children commented on how “peaceful” they felt after those precious minutes in St Weburgh’s, and how all their worries and concerns had disappeared after drinking the water and praying to Mary and St Bernadette. The children spent some time reflecting on their experience and writing in their Reflective journals.
